Ernest Hemingway, 'The Old Man and the Sea,' published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1952.
The Old Man and the Sea is a 127 page paperback measuring 8" x 5 1/4". Apart from some edge wear along the spine and light foxing and remainder marks on the page edges, the book is clean and unmarked and the binding is tight. The condition is very good.
This short novel, already a modern classic, is the superbly told, tragic story of a Cuban fisherman in the Gulf Stream and the giant Marlin he kills and loses--specifically referred to in the citation accompanying the author's Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954.
