Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, 'The Complete Sherlock Holmes in Two Handsome Volumes,' published by Doubleday & Company, Inc., certain stories in this volume were copyrighted by Harper & Brothers in 1892, 1893, 1894, 1904, and by Sir A. Conan Doyle in 1920 and 1922, and are reprinted in this volume by their courtesy.
The Complete Sherlock Holmes are 480 and 1122 page hardcover books measuring 9.5" x 6.5". Both hardcover books are in very good condition, with only the slightest bumping to the spine and slight foxing on the top and fore edges. The pages are crisp and clean with only two dog-eared pages in the whole two volume set and the binding is very tight and square. The dust jacket has some minor shelf wear.
Every word Conan Doyle ever wrote about Sherlock Holmes is here, complete and unabridged--all four full-length novels and all fifty-six short stories--actually nine whole books. Christopher Morley has written a delightful preface, In Memoriam Sherlock Holmes, which appears in the first of these two handsome volumes.
