The Complete Sherlock Holmes In Two Handsome Volumes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a pair of hardback books published by Doubleday & Company, Inc., certain stories in this volume were copyrighted by Harper & Brothers in 1892, 1893, 1894, 1904, and by Sir A. Conan Doyle in 1920 and 1922, and are reprinted in this volume by their courtesy. The dust jackets have some minor shelf wear. Inside, the slightest bumping to the spine and slight foxing on the top and fore edges is present. The pages are crisp and clean with only two dog-eared pages in the whole two volume set and the binding is tight and square.
Every word Conan Doyle ever wrote about Sherlock Holmes is here, complete and unabridged--all four full-length novels and all fifty-six short stories--actually nine whole books. Christopher Morley has written a delightful preface, In Memoriam Sherlock Holmes, which appears in the first of these two handsome volumes.
