Old Foley Potters

Old Foley Potters was founded by James Kent (1864-1953) in 1897 in Old Foley, Staffordshire, England.  When James died in 1953, his son took over and the company continued to operate as a family owned business until 1981 when it was purchased by Bayer Ltd.  After more changes in ownership, the company was renamed James Kent Ltd. in 1989.  In 2010 Foley China ceased operations.
