A lovely rectangular earthenware dish featuring a repeating pattern of hand-painted calla lilies on a royal blue background from Talavera, Mexico. The dish measures 9" across, 6 1/2" wide, and 1" high. The bottom has "Talavera" as a painted mark and the condition is very good.
Talavera pottery is a type of majolica earthenware and is made in central Mexico by hand. No two pieces are exactly the same.
