Coach (New York, USA) Black Leather Willis Station Bag with Top Handle, Shoulder Strap and Brass Hardware

$ 20.00

A black leather station bag in the "Willis" pattern from Coach.  The outside of the bag has a top handle mounted with aged brass hardware and a detachable shoulder strap.  A brass turn lock opens to reveal an unlined open pocket and a larger open compartment with small pocket.  The bag measures 9" across, 2" deep, and 9" high, with an additional 22" when factoring in the strap drop, and has an internal depth of 7".  The inside pocket is impressed with the Coach logo and the authentication model number "B4I 5130." (I am not an expert but this bag appears to be authentic). The bag shows signs of wear to the leather piping along the bottoms and sides, lending itself to the appearance of a much-loved bag.

Caring for A Leather Handbag

  • A general maintenance cleaning involves mixing a small amount of mild liquid dish soap (a couple drops in 8 ounces of water) with warm water and a soft microfiber cloth.  Ring out the cloth and wipe the purse following the grain of the leather and finish with a final wipe with a new clean damp cloth.  Always spot test a small area before cleaning.  Do not use saddle soap, bleach, vinegar, or ammonia.  Any specialty cleaners should match the type of handbag material. For example, a leather bag cleaner will not be as effective on suede as much as a specialty suede cleaner would be.
  • Keep bag stuffed while not using it to maintain shape, and store in a dust bag or old pillow case.
  • To remove musty odors, place an open box of baking soda inside the bag and wrap in a pillowcase overnight.
  • Beeswax can be used to lubricate zippers for a smoother glide.
