Crewel Embroidery is a 153 page hardcover measuring 10 1/2" x 6 1/2". The dust cover has minor rubbing to the surface and some minor chips and tears along the edges. The book has a minor bump to the bottom edge of the spine. The binding is tight and the pages are clean and crisp. The condition is very good.
This book is designed to teach the beginner the fundamentals of crewel embroidery and also the enable the more advanced worker to improve her techniques and enlarge her repertoire of stitches. It tells how to choose patterns, materials and wool, mark designs on the fabric, mount the work on a frame, stretch and block the finished piece. Detailed instructions for 64 different stitches are illustrated with diagrams, which give the book permanent value as a reference work.
